What is the difference between "advantage multi" and "advocate" and why don't I need a prescription for "advocate" (as stated on your website) whereas "advantage multi" I do?

There is absolutely no difference between them. Advocate is the brand which the manufacturer - Bayer - use outside of the US. There are different regulations and licensing rules on different countries.

This product's active ingredient is moxidectin. It doesn't contain ivermectin at all.
